Le vaisseau spatial. (The spaceship) 2020. J.Harms. 29x39cm. Acrylic on paper.
Arteries and organic tissue,
In The Eiffel Tower,
The spaceship needs a good vacuum.

A corner of the street that I know best,
The melting pine,
My neighborhood.
Butter chicken for lunch,
A digestive stroll in the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont in Paris,
Sunday with sis.
When traffic comes to a stop,
I take a picture,
Going on a job,
a week or so before confinement.
The may moon is full,
Over my neigbours’ house.
Jardin privé. 2020. J.Harms. Acrylic on paper. 29x39cm.
These are unusual times.
The weather is warming,
the sun is shining,
birds are singing,
but we are all confined indoors
to prevent a virus from circulating.
In French, « Jardin privé » which literally means « Private garden » , can also mean « deprived of garden » in a more poetic sense : « de jardin privé… »
A quince tree. 2019. J.Harms. Acrylic on canvas. 60x73cm.
In my opinion there is no better time than winter to paint a tree.
La maison des amis de Jenny. 2019. J.Harms. Acrylic on canvas board. 28,5×22,5 cm. Commission.
A small painting depicting a house in Brittany, commissioned by my elder sister Jenny. Painting something I have never seen personally is not my favorite thing. However, I don’t think I made such a bad job out of it. I finished the painting after it was framed. The painting is signed on the top left side, right in the shadow.
I’m happy to announce that I will be exhibiting again at the Grand Salon D’Art Abordable in Paris in the beginning of November. This is the French twist to the affordable Art Fairs of the world. I will be showing some of my new works.
An annual event I enjoy participating to. If you happen to pass by the area come and have a look. The Eglise Saint Pierre is stunning, and the Art is quite nice too.
