Jardin privé. 2020

Acrylic on paper. 29x39cm.

Nous vivons un moment peu commun,

il fait beau et doux,

le soleil brille,

les oiseaux chantent,

mais nous sommes tous confinés,

pour empêcher un virus de circuler.

Nous sommes en sorte “de jardin, privé”.

These are unusual times.

The weather is warm,

the sun is shining,

birds are singing,

but we are all confined indoors

to prevent a virus from circulating.

In French,” jardin privé” which means literally “private garden”, can also mean “deprived of garden” in a more poetic sense and with proper punctuation : “de jardin, privé.”

This view comes from a picture I took a couple of weeks ago, when corona virus was not around yet. As a decorative painter, I am sometimes lucky enough to work in places that have great views. This particular place had a stunning view of the Eiffel tower. But the private garden, seemed so much more interesting to paint, especially now… Thanks for your comment, I hope you have a nice view too.🌳🌳🌳

Oui en effet! Merci. Everything is in bloom here already- and while unfortunately our trip to France this Avril is off – we will (🤞) enjoy another Printemps en Virginie- which is really a magical experience I think everyone should experience once in their lives 😊 Stay safe – and productive !
