Let it snow…

J’adore les paysages enneigés. Je travaillais dans un charmant petit hôtel, il y a quelques années de cela. L’hôtel avoisinait l’église du village, son jardin était pavé, et entouré de rhododendrons, de glycines et de poiriers. Ces tableaux représentent certaines des vues qu’on avait des chambres.

I love snowcapes. A couple years ago, I worked in a small hotel in the North of France. The place was magical. Not only was it built right next to a very old Church, but it had its own garden with ancient fruit trees and paved paths. These paintings are views from some of the rooms. The Hotel closed unfortunately but these views remain, I am glad I painted them.

  3. I find snow utterly difficult to draw or to paint, because it is white, and often the result is just ugly. Yours, I love, Julie !
